China update

Genmin has signed a binding Memorandum of Understanding with leading Chinese infrastructure company Sinohydro, PowerChina's immediate subsidiary, for the development & construction of ASX: GEN's Baniaka iron ore project in Gabon. The MoU includes Sinohydro assisting with the procurement of funding for Baniaka.

The foundation of China & Gabon's comprehensive, strategic cooperative partnership is based on 50 years of diplomatic relations and political mutual trust.

China's President Xi Jinping has congratulated Mr Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema on his recent election as President of the Republic of Gabon and expressed the importance of China-Gabon relations for the benefit of both countries.
